Pistols Brewery

This project was a student packaging design assignment for Pistol Brewery, focused on creating two beer can labels inspired by Ottawa landmarks while aligning with the brand’s wild west identity. The goal was to design labels that felt locally rooted while remaining bold, playful, and recognizable on shelf.

The two cans, titled Byward Bandit and Rideau Ranger, each draw from a different Ottawa location. Byward Bandit depicts a western-style duel featuring a bandit, inspired by the ByWard Market, while Rideau Ranger highlights the Rideau River and incorporates a cowboy character. Each design explores a distinct concept while maintaining a consistent visual language.

Designed to be sold together as a set, the cans work as a pair while remaining strong as individual designs, balancing illustration, storytelling, and brand consistency.
